Bringing Tertiary Education Within Reach

Murrindindi Shire turned a 130 kilometre gap to the nearest university into a fundable business case for a Regional University Study Hub.
Only 5% of Murrindindi residents attend university compared to 16.6% across Victoria, and Year 12 completion sits at 41% against a 59% state average, with four sectors facing workforce shortages the shire cannot fill locally. NMC's feasibility study combined current and future state analysis, national benchmarking and a structured options assessment to build a government-ready business case for a Regional University Study Hub under the Federal program. The result gives Council a defensible, fundable proposition rather than a well-understood but unfunded problem.
